Staff at the Beverley Branch of Helping Hands are getting ready to host their very first networking coffee morning.
Jennie Falconer and the care team will be holding a ‘Coffee and Connect’ event on Thursday 18 April for local businesses, community groups and individuals from Beverley and beyond. From 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., the branch will be opening its doors and providing coffee, cake and a comfortable space for the local community to get to know each other and share ideas in an informal setting.

Branch Manager, Jennie Falconer, said: “This is our first community event since we opened our doors in October last year and it’s a great opportunity for like-minded businesses and individuals to learn more about what we do. As well as this, we can really get to know others in the local area and find out what services are out there that may benefit our own customers. It’s also a chance to attract potential carers to Helping Hands, as we have a growing customer base and are always seeking good care staff to support our customers.

She continues: “We’re really looking forward to meeting some new faces and hopefully build a great rapport with the local community. You don’t need an invite – anyone is welcome to come along for a cup of tea and slice of cake!”

If successful, Jennie hopes to run these gatherings on a regular basis and involving as many locals as possible.
The team at the branch is made up of 10 members of staff, who provide visiting care to individuals living with a variety of conditions across Beverley, Hull and the surrounding areas. These range from dementia, Parkinson’s and stroke to spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy. This year marks the 30th birthday of the company, which began in the leafy suburbs of Warwickshire. Now with over 90 branches nationwide, Helping Hands is one of largest and most experienced providers of homecare in the UK.

The Beverley Branch of Helping Hands can be found in Beverley town centre at 32 Butcher Row, Beverley, HU17 0AB. For more information, you can call Jennie and the team on 01482 453 725.
