KING’S HEAD LAUNCH A NEW SPRING MENU ON MARCH 7TH

It’s Spring! There’s no better excuse than a change in the seasons for a revamp and a look towards trying something new - purple carrots, anyone?
For those who haven’t dined at the King’s Head Hotel, the menu is an exciting fusion of classic British dishes (Sausage and Mash, Beer-battered Fish and Chips) and more eclectic plates. Their pizzas are renowned for their authenticity cooked in the pizza oven and the steaks for their succulence, cooked in the fabulous Josper oven.

A herb crusted rump of lamb is a new dish that sits alongside the ever popular pan-fried chicken breast with wilted spinach, chorizo and wild mushroom sauce.

Another new addition is pan-fried duck with a honey and a sesame glaze. The inclusion of purple carrots has turned a few heads! Who knew there were different coloured carrots? They come in yellow, green, black and red, too, apparently!

The steak section has seven cuts. Fillet, ribeye and a sharing “Chateaubriand” all feature as does a vegan “Cauliflower” steak for the first time. On Tuesdays there is a 50% steak deal - booking is advised.

The pizzas are considered by many to be the best in Beverley and a few new toppings have made it onto the new menu.
The salami pepperoni pizza is a firm favourite alongside the prosciuto ham and pineapple. There’s a new extra spicy Korean chicken along with the new smoked pork belly and lime ricotta option - something we at the King’s Head are all excited about!
Pizzas are on offer 2-4-1 Monday to Friday 12 noon till 7pm.

As mentioned already with the new vegan steak’, people choosing to follow a vegetarian or vegan diet have certainly not been forgotten, with the Spring menu having more options than ever before.

A crème fraiche-based pizza with Blue Monday cheese and chestnut mushrooms (V) is a particular stand out as is the spicy vegetable salad, packed with fresh veggies (Ve) or additional Halloumi (V) to name but two dishes.

All items are freshly prepared in house and Head Chef James Atkinson and his team pride themselves on the quality of produce used.

Award winning Cafeology coffee and teas from the brew tea range are available all day and served alongside a breakfast menu that is served 9am till noon.

There is also a Lunch menu available with one course being just £7, two courses £10 and three courses £12.50!
This runs Monday - Friday 12-3pm.

The Spring menu  launch is on Thursday March 7th.
To celebrate both the new menu and the 50th issue of Just Beverley, they are offering both 50% off all the main menu items and a complimentary glass of bubbly for the first 50 guests to book a table for that day.
