Make Every Day an Earth Day at Hair by Rosie

As we aim to curb our plastics use, refill stations and reusable bottles are set to pop up everywhere. Hair by Rosie is one of the first salons in Beverley to offer refillable bottles for shampoo and conditioner and install recycling bins.

The hairdressing industry is in the top 20% of waste-creators in the world - but milk_shake aims to be at the forefront of changing that statistic by providing its salons with the means to curb waste. The products themselves are eco-friendly, using naturally-sourced ingredients (milk proteins, fruit and nut extracts) which are not tested on animals (animal-testing is illegal in the EU) and which don’t pollute water-ways.

milk_shake shampoos and conditioners are available in Moisture Plus, Energising, Colour Care, Volumising and Silver Shine ranges, all in 300ml recyclable and refillable bottles, priced at £14 and £15 respectively but currently with 10% off with the voucher on Hair by Rosie’s advert or by quoting ‘Earthday Offer’. Refills are £9.99 each.

As Hair by Rosie celebrates its 3rd birthday, so Italian brand milk_shake celebrates 20 years of being change-makers in the hairdressing world.

Hair by Rosie’s Rosie Ward says: “milk_shake is re-creating all of its packaging to ensure it is recycleable, but now that we can refill customer’s bottles, too, it also means their favourite shampoo is less expensive! We may only be one of a handful of salons starting this scheme, but we believe a ripple can turn into a tidal wave. Less plastic, lower costs, more eco-friendly products - it’s a win-win for everyone!”

Hair by Rosie is at 34, North Bar Within, Beverley HU17 8DL, tel 01482 863603. Follow Rosie on Facebook.
