Beverley Cherry Tree Centre: Tesco Bags of Help award

Beverley Cherry Tree Centre won £4,000 in our November/December Bags of Help customer vote for their Beverley Safer Community Equipment scheme.

On Friday Tesco visited the centre for the cheque presentation and to find out more about how the grant will be spent.
Manager Jo Ramsay said: ''The grant will be used for the purchase and installation of security systems at the Centre to provide necessary safe and protected areas for children, teenagers and adults that use our busy and vibrant community centre. The staff, volunteers and trustees at the Centre would like to thank everyone who voted for the Centre and would like to send special thanks to the Beverley Rotary Club for their assistance with the successful bid application.''
