The Hull Branch of the RAF Association will be celebrating Battle of Britain with a Commemorative Service at Hull Cenotaph 1300 hours (1 pm) on Sunday the 16th of September 2018, followed by a parade through the City, supported by the RAF Waddington Pipe and Drum Band.  The Branch has also secured the BBMF Lancaster Bomber, to fly past at 13:50hrs (1.50 pm).  Hull Minster will be hosting a service to remember those past and present, followed by afternoon tea.

This is an important event for the armed forces community, and it offers a focal point to commemorate the contribution of servicemen and women in military conflicts around the world.

The Hull Branch has been serving the local community for 73 years, boasting nearly 300 members ranging in age from 17 years of age, newly serving members of the RAF, to a 100-year-old veteran.

The RAF Association offers friendship, help and support to the ‘RAF family.’ This includes current and former serving RAF personnel, their spouses, widows, widowers and other dependants. From something as simple as a visit to chat to financial support in a time of need, the Association is there to help. The majority of this support is delivered by local branch members, on a voluntary basis.
