Beverley Folk Festival is delighted to announce that Gretchen Peters will be one of the stars on stage at this year’s festival in June. Gretchen, who for two decades has been billed as “one of Nashville's greatest talents will be headlining the main concert on Friday 15th June.
A multi award-winning artist who has been named as one of the ’60 Greatest Female Songwriters of All Time’, she is a fearless and creative singer-songwriter, an Americana tour de force and a great stage performer. Read all about her at http://www.gretchenpeters.com/
Gretchen was born in New York and raised in Boulder, Colorado but moved to Nashville in the late 1980s. She found work as a songwriter, composing hits for Martina McBride, Etta James, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Anne Murray, Shania Twain, Neil Diamond and co-writing songs with Bryan Adams.
Festival programmer Kelly Foley commented: “I’m really excited that we have been able to book Gretchen. She is sure to get our 35th anniversary off to an exciting and memorable start. It is great that we are able to attract such big name international artists to perform in Beverley.”
The performance will be part of the festival’s ‘weekend ticket’, which is on sale now. A separate concert ticket, for this performance only will also be available for just £25.
