Quiz Nights with a difference scheduled at East Riding Theatre

Mon 10th July 2017
Ert Web 960x396 Part 960x396

Head along to ERT this July for the our first of their quiz nights on 16th and 29th - quizzes with a difference!

Designed by Mike Friend, who directed ERT’s Christmas shows ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘Oliver Twist’, not to mention the amazingly absurd ‘Sparrow’, the quizzes are based on his devised work with circus performers in New Zealand.  Thus, the content tends to verge towards the quirky side of normal not to mention the bizarre.

As the quizzes are dependent on the element of performance, the current preoccupation is with ‘the wackier the better’ show stoppers, such as a mini play taking place in a bath tub! There are plenty more offers in store too.  In fact, keeping artists off centre stage might prove the tricky part.

The programme for the evening involves each round kicking off with a performance lasting ten minutes or so, stimulating ideas for the question master and whetting the competitive appetite of participating team players.  The round will be followed by Mike's unique delivery of questions loosely based (a point to be stressed) around the subject of the performance, before going onto the next equally unpredictable event.

As the blurb says, ERT places itself in the centre of entERTainment promising a circus that befuddles, bamboozles, astonishes and amuses.

Do come along and have some fun.  Either bring along plenty of team mates or they will find some to join you.
