Peoples Choice

Visitors to Beverley Art Gallery have been casting their votes for their favourite piece of artwork in this year’s Open Art exhibition.

This year the winner was Jane Beharrell with her painting ‘Iris and Clementines’.  This is the second year that Jane has won the People’s Choice.

Jane said: “I was very surprised and happy to be told that I'd won the People’s Choice prize again. It means a lot to me that people liked my painting and took the time to vote for it.”

The prize has been kindly donated by the Friends of Beverley Art Gallery and presented by their Chairman, James Godfrey.

Born in Hull but now based in Beverley, Jane is currently preparing for her forthcoming exhibition at Beverley Minster in April.
