Upcoming Oddfellows Social Events

Oddfellows Meeting

Here at Oddfellows we recently ran some research with YouGov which showed that a fifth over over-55s in Great Britain go for at least six months without being socially active.

We were saddened to discover this, because we firmly believe that enjoying the regular company of friends is essential to living a happier life. Friends are not just there to socialise with, they provide support and comfort in times of need.

It takes a lot of courage to meet new people, even for the most confident, and often as we get older, there are fewer opportunities to socialise.

So, if any of you are looking to meet other friendly and caring people who live nearby, then we’d love to offer a warm welcome at our friendship group. We’re based in Beverley & Hull and we run regular social events across the region.

It’s been wonderful to welcome new faces to our group as part of our 10th annual Friendship Month celebrations this September, but there is and always will be space at the table for more.

Should anybody like to give us a try, our next event is a leisurely walk - five miles round Wansford - taking place on 21st October 10.30am. Park on the Road in Wansford Village YO25 8NX. Contact Howard Cole for more details on 07732 585186.
