Tourist information centres (TICs) in Bridlington and Beverley re-open today Monday, 17 May in line with the Government’s roadmap to the easing of restrictions in England.

The Bridlington TIC is temporarily sited in the North entrance of Bridlington Spa but in July it will move into its new home within the main Spa foyer area.

Opening hours from May to August are Monday to Saturday, 10am-4.45pm. Sunday opening is restricted to bank holiday weekends and during the school holidays from July to August, 10am-4pm.

In Beverley, the TIC will re-open on the first floor of the town’s Treasure House building from Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5pm, Saturdays, 9am-4pm.

In line with social distancing measures, the customer service desks will be fitted with protective screens and members of staff will wear masks.

Councillor Jane Evison, portfolio holder for economic growth and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We are all very excited to be preparing to welcome back visitors to both our tourist information centres and look forward to providing visitor information and assistance whilst showcasing the wonderful offer of our coast, towns and countryside.

“We also thank visitors to the area for their patience during what has been a difficult time for all us, but cannot wait to offer a friendly welcome again to those who visit here.”
