Tour De Yorkshire

The Tour de Yorkshire is one of the biggest international cycle races in Europe in 2015 and we are sure, as with the Grand Départ of the Tour de France last summer, the people of Yorkshire will get behind the event and have a fantastic weekend.

Here is a link to the free education pack which was developed for the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire last summer which you may be able to use in lessons. www.cycle.yorkshire.com/education-pack

We do hope children will see the health benefits of cycling to school, where possible and you may be interested in this "cycle to school" project. www.bigpedal.org.uk  If you are interested in your school take part please contact Natalie on Natalie.Whelan@sustrans.org.uk

The Tour de Yorkshire will be broadcast live on TV in the UK and to 40+ countries around the world.

This is an opportunity for children (and staff) to have free access to a major sporting event to see some of the world's greatest athletes up close and we do hope your school will, in whichever way you feel best, whether waving from the roadside or having special assemblies, be part of the event and celebrations.
