Despite competition from some well-known and well-established pubs in Beverley, the Tiger Inn is the only one to have reached the nomination stages. It will be up against Hull's Head of Steam and Lion & Key; the Ship Inn at Sewerby; Wrygarth Inn at Great Hatfield and Black Horse at Little Weighton.

Allen Slinger, Landlord of the Tiger Inn said: "It's brilliant news for the Tiger and testament to the hard work the staff put in. We are honoured to have made the short-list with such illustrious competition. A big thank you to all our customers who have made the Tiger the wonderful community pub it is."
