The Mirage Cocktail Bar & Bistro has reopened.

Recently the Government announced that bars and pubs could reopen on July 4 following increased safety measures and COVID-friendly changes.

A lot has happened since March behind the scenes at the Mirage Cocktail Bar & Bistro to make sure all customers and staff remain as safe as possible, and today local East Riding of Yorkshire Councillors Denis Healy and Linda Johnson, Deputy Mayor of Beverley, were on hand to show support to Ali Tecke and his team celebrating Mirage re-opening and the outside seated area welcoming customers. This occasion has shown an impressive insight into the future of the hospitality industry in Beverley.

Ali Tecke, owner of the Mirage, is looking forward to getting stuck back into serving Beverley with top quality food, drink and customer service, however the inevitable changes include: 

•  Opening Time from 12pm - late
•  Walk ins are still welcome but it is recommended to book your table for food to avoid disappointment
•  There will be a maximum of 6 people per booking
• Ali said: “We are delighted to open our doors to Beverley once again. It’s great for the summer that we’ve got the outside area for people to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and it’s giving people the confidence that Beverley is back open.

“It’s great to see people having the confidence to come in and trust that everyone is being sensible with social distancing. It's encouraging for the future of the hospitality industry in the area, and as well for other businesses to see and make them talk to their councils to get things moving for them”.

Having made changes to the way the Mirage is run in order to reopen, Ali is hoping people can now relax with the chance enjoy both the experience inside and in the dining area outside. 

Cllr Denis Healy said: “It's great to see people like Ali being proactive and giving other businesses the confidence to come out of lockdown. It’s positive for the town itself, and a great example of what can be done by working together”.

Cllr Linda Johnson, Deputy Mayor of Beverley, emphasised the levels of safety of the facilities at Wednesday Marketplace and through to Saturday Marketplace.

She said: “From the Marketplace and beyond, people have been behaving sensibly and it really lends itself to an alfresco environment. It’s a good message set out by Ali that shows our town is open and it will encourage other businesses to do likewise. Beverley is open for business, people are social distancing and looking forward to a good summer ahead”.

Mirage situated in Wednesday Market Place is now open, so you can sit back relax and enjoy good food, great service and a the wonderful atmosphere that Beverley continues to deliver.
