Ted Lewis Life celebrated in Open Afternoon at Beverley's Treasure House

Mon 26th February 2018
Ted Lewis

Did you know that Ted Lewis, the author of 'Get Carter' grew up in Barton-Upon-Humber? The Treasure House will celebrate the man, his novels and other talents (he was a jazz musician and artist) at an open afternoon on March 3rd from 1pm-3pm.

Sadly, Ted died at the very young age of 42 but his legacy lives on. Did you know he was a clean-up artist for the animations on the Beatle's 'Yellow Submarine' film?

Members of the Ted Lewis Group will shine a light on this local talent who changed the face of British Noir crime writing.

There will be music recordings to listen to, slide presentations, book readings and personal anecdotes. Signed biographies and memorabilia will be available to purchase. No need to book - just turn up!
