Staff at Morrisons on Victoria Road are doing their bit for charity today. The store has paired up with Minster Cycles to take on the challenge of a 60km static cycle challenge.

The in-store cycling aims to raise money for Sue Ryder, a charity which supports those with life threatening illnesses across the UK and worldwide.

Taking part in the cycle challenge is David Charlton, store manager at Morrisons, and Hayley Ruddock, community champion at the Beverley store.

The pair is encouraging staff to participate, and asking shoppers to donate their spare change to spur on the cyclists.

A static bike has been supplied by Minster Cycles to support the event.
