IT students at East Riding College have donated £90 to the RSPCA after raising funds by washing cars.

The learners, who are studying on level two and three courses at the Bridlington campus, wanted to raise money for animals in the local area and chose to make a donation to the chosen charity of Mayor Shelagh Finlay.

Students at East Riding College are encouraged to take part in fundraising or activities which benefit the community as part of their course.

Tutor Tracey Murray said: “The students did a great job and washed more than 30 cars to raise the money. We are very pleased to be able to make a donation to the RSPCA.”
