SILVER MEDAL FOR AMATEUR WEIGHTLIFTER LYNNE

Prior to the lock down the British Masters Olympic Weightlifting Championships were held at Lilleshall.
Although Lynne Auton is perhaps better known in her common guise as a Payroll Solutions expert, hearty congratulations are in order for her astounding achievement at the recent British Masters Olympic Weightlifting Championships.
The competition was held in Lilleshall, a centre near Telford known for sporting events.From the group of 10 competitors in her age category, Lynne won silver and what’s more, she attained two personal bests!
Olympic Lifting involves two lifting techniques - the Snatch, in which she lifted 44kg, and the Clean and Jerk where her three successful lifts included a personal best of 56kg!
Lynne’s total weight reached 100kg - another personal best! Lynne is continuing to set her sights high: along with her coach Sam and fellow training partner Carol, Lynne is attending the European Masters competition in the Netherlands from the 22nd
May.
