River Hull Trip 12 Jpg

The River Hull Channel Conveyance Improvements.

The Council working with Beverley and North Holderness IDB and Northern Divers to remove ten sunken and abandoned vessels which were identified as causing an obstruction, are only a few weeks away from completing the task.

The work needs to be completed before the end of September so as not to disturb lampreys, a protected species of fish that live in the River Hull.

When the work is complete, local businesses and residents will see an improved flow in the river and therefore reduce the risk floods in the area.

Graham Stuart MP - Mentioned that "After 10 years it is fantastic to see that the appropriate authorities have worked together to ensure that the work is completed to improve the flow of the river and security to local residents and business".
