Remembrance Sunday Service, Memorial Service and Laying of Wreaths

A Service of Remembrance is taking place this Sunday, 10th November in Beverley Minster as a mark of respect to all service personnel past and present whose efforts will be recognised the nation over.

The Service will be preceded by a Parade to the Minster setting off from School Lane at 10.30am. Representatives of the Armed Forces, dignitaries and other members of the community will walk along New Walkergate and into Minster Yard North via Railway St. and Eastgate. The Remembrance Service will begin at 10.50am.

The Parade will continue from the Minster, marching down Toll Gavel and through Saturday Market, into the Memorial Gardens, where a Wreath Laying Ceremony will take place. The Salute will be taken at Market Cross by the Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire. 

Following the Wreath Laying Ceremony, a smaller Parade of those in uniform will return to School Lane. 

Hengate and Saturday Market will be road closed to allow this event to take place.
