Pupils' public speaking success

Sixth formers from Beverley Grammar School, Longcroft School and Beverley High School competed in Beverley Rotary Club's annual schools public speaking competition at Tickton Grange.

The event, which was sponsored, by Real Aid, was won by Beverley Grammar School's Toby Brown. Tristan Browning, who also attends the Grammar School, was runner-up.

Toby received a trophy and a £50 cheque for his sixth form centre.

Everyone who took part received glassware trophies and certificates.
