Pocklington Rotarian Is Walking A Mile A Day For Dementia

A Pocklington man is walking a mile a day to raise funds for Dementia UK.

Accompanied by fellow members of the Weighton Wolds Rotary Club, Carter Croft is taking part in the Dementia UK Challenge and is hoping to raise over £1,000 by the end of May.

Contributions to Dr Carter's campaign would be very much appreciated and can be made at https://bit.ly/CCDementiaWalk

"I am walking a mile a day in May in Market Weighton to support Rotary in collecting for Dementia UK, to support friends and all those friends I am yet to meet. Come along and join me for a walk and chat through this lovely area. We meet at 10  9.30 am at the Giant Bradley statue outside the Bay Horse. We look forward to welcoming you," says Dr Croft.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Its nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

Wolds Weighton Rotary Club has raised over £103,000 since its inception in 2014. The club meets at 7.30 pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month in the Bay Horse in Market Weighton. For more information, please contact Secretary, John Moulder on 07511 699898 or email johnmoulder47@gmail.com.
