Outdoor Countryside events this Easter

April will see a host of exciting outdoor events for families at Local Nature Reserves in the East Riding, allowing them to learn more about the natural world and enjoy some adventure!

Thursday, 14 April sees Kids Go Wild: A Spring Trail happening at Humber Bridge Country Park. Children can discover all about amazing local wildlife by following a spring trail around the meadows and woods. Parents can book any of the following start times online: 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 1pm, 1.30pm or 2pm. Please book via www.bridspa.com/events. Children £2.50, accompanying adults free.

The following week, on Thursday, 21 April, Kids Go Wild: Woodland Adventures will be happening at Eastrington Ponds Local Nature Reserve, near Howden. It will be achance to join the group in the woods for an adventure among the trees. Children can keep their hands, feet and imaginations busy as they explore, making a bug hotel for wild creatures and creating an enchanted woodland home for fantasy fairies. Come on down for either 10am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 3.30pm slots. Please book via www.bridspa.com/events. Children £2.50, accompanying adults free.

Rambling On will be happening on Sunday, 24 April, with a gentle spring ramble around the Oakhill Nature Reserve near Goole. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the reserve during this wonderful season. Led by the Friends of Oakhill and Chris Dickinson of the East Riding’s countryside team. 10am – 1pm. Please book via www.bridspa.com/events. Free.
