Notice of election - election of a parish councillor for Beverley Town Council Minster South Ward

  1. An election is to be held for a parish councillor for the Beverley Town Council Minster South Ward.
  2. Nomination papers may be obtained from Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 9BA. Please call 01482 393300 or e-mail electoral.services@eastriding.gov.uk or visit www.eastriding.gov.uk/elections
  3. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 9BA on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than 4pm on Friday, 25 June 2021. Candidates wishing to stand, are asked to contact the Electoral Services Team on 01482 393300 to make arrangements to submit their nomination papers.
  4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday, 22 July 2021.
  5. The last date for registration of new electors to the area to be effective for this election is midnight on Tuesday, 6 July 2021.
  6. New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change an existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley by 5pm on Wednesday, 7 July 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.
  7. New applications to vote by proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley by 5pm on Wednesday, 14 July 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.
  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency or where a person’s occupation, service or employment means they are unable to attend at their polling station (and this could not have been foreseen before the deadline for ordinary proxy applications) must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, County Hall, Beverley by 5pm on Thursday, 22 July 2021 if they are to be effective for this election.
