MUSIC REVIVAL IN CHERRY BURTON

Mon 27th September 2021
16 Tcc Lynn Anita Whitby Pavilion 1

Cherry Burton Arts are set to ‘go live’ once again with more East Riding musical events commencing with The Creedence Collection at the Village Hall, Cherry Burton, near Beverley on Saturday, October 30 at 8pm.

The Creedence Collection pay tribute to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty, with classic hits including ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘Have you Ever Seen the Rain’ and ‘Up Around the Bend’. Fogerty was the band’s main songwriter, and went on to have a successful solo career with an enviable collection of songs - many covered by other great artists including Status Quo (Rockin’ all Over the World) and Tina Turner (Proud Mary.

The Creedence Collection are an exceptional ‘local’ band made up of great musicians fronted by Lynn Blakeston and Rob Nicklas, who can draw on this stunning catalogue of songs and with their tight rocky sound produce a fantastic evening’s entertainment!

Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added “We are taking the necessary safety precautions to allow live music to happen in the Village Hall once again following the months of shutdown. With a reduced number of tickets available we are expecting a sell-out so to avoid disappointment we suggest arranging tickets sooner rather than later. They are a great band and had the place rocking on their last visit; you forget how many fantastic songs the original band had!”

Attenders should bring their own drinks and glasses.

Tickets £15 - available in advance here, and at Costcutter Cherry Burton.
