Broadband Scheme

Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart is encouraging all residents and businesses in his constituency who are experiencing weak broadband speeds to sign up for the Government’s ‘Better Broadband’ subsidy broadband scheme.

Graham Stuart MP commented: “The Government scheme helps subsidise the cost of a basic broadband package for those residents and businesses experiencing speeds less than 2Mbps and who will not benefit from the rollout of superfast broadband.

“This excellent Government funded scheme is great news for those in rural constituencies like Beverley and Holderness as it will help get them obtain a faster connection sooner rather than later.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has already taken the initiative by writing to all parish councils in our area encouraging them to help raise awareness of the scheme. I want to echo what they have done by further promoting the ‘Better Broadband’ subsidy and whole heartedly encourage my constituents to apply.

“When we came to Government in 2010 we committed ourselves to improving broadband speeds for people across the UK and this scheme goes towards achieving that commitment.
