Making The Most Of The Outdoors This Summer

If the Coronavirus has put a pause on any holiday you had booked earlier this year, fear not. There are still plenty of ways you can get outside and make the most of the outdoors this summer.

Whether you have children to entertain or it’s just you and your friends, why not try something new like camping? Or glamping if you don’t fancy roughing it.

If you prefer the nature scene on a day trip, the National Trust have opened more than 130 gardens and parks through advanced booking and are now encouraging people to explore their nature reserves again.

Currently the number of tickets available for each opened location is being limited to ensure that visitors and staff stay safe and prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, but Making the most of the outdoors this summer new tickets are released every Friday. You can take your family out to enjoy a summers walk through the countryside, coast, parkland and gardens which are full of trails of flowers, wildlife and stunning views.

There are hundreds of coastal and countryside car parks open without a need to book so you can be as flexible with your visit as you like.

Alternatively, you can explore locally. Adventuring around places closer to home and the historic market town of Beverley will lead you to some hidden gems where you can walk, cycle or hike.

Beverley is in a fortunate position to have the best of both worlds. You can go from exploring beauty in the town and then be at the coast within the hour and find something beautiful to explore there.

Coastal areas such as Bridlington have started to reopen venues so you can visit Bridlington Spa and then spend the rest of the day down the Yorkshire Coast, or go explore the old railways lines down the Hudson Way, or North Cave Wetlands, or head up to the Wolds and explore the public highways. Why not make the most of the summer and explore them all!
