Beverley-based TIR Training, which provides a comprehensive range of quality training to meet the specialised needs of the logistics sector, has launched a unique driver-match scheme to help tackle the national shortage of LGV drivers. Many haulage firms are dependent on agency drivers to keep their trucks on the road so TIR are encouraging companies which need drivers to contact them when they have a vacancy so they can be matched with a TIR Training newly-qualified driver .

The advantage of the scheme for haulage companies is that this is a low-cost, time-saving recruitment option, whilst for new drivers it is zero cost. There is a dedicated 'Driver Match' team on-hand to answer all queries within 48 hours.
