Logan Harte, a member of the Martial Arts and Leadership Academy, Beverley, has at the age of 7 achieved his black belt! After starting Mixed Martial Arts at the age of 3 in December 2015, Logan has worked his way through the grading system and all of the coloured belts to reach this goal.

The Martial Arts and Leadership Academy is part of the AIM Association and practises a Multistyle Discipline. Logan took his black belt exam in October this year; a test that was almost four hours long, and which included warm up exercises followed by combination work, sparring, and a host of other skills Logan has learnt over the past 4 years.

Logan is an all-rounder when it comes to sport, being a keen footballer when he’s not training with the Academy - and his dedication shows. Logan has attended training sessions at least twice a week since joining the Academy. The hard work and his achievements have given him self-discipline, self-belief, focus and confidence, which he has benefitted from both in and out of school.

Master Walker, Logan’s instructor said ‘Logan demonstrates our motto “to believe is to achieve”. For such a young person to achieve a black belt is great testimony to both his and his parents commitment. He is a good example to others, that if you set your mind to something and set your goals you can achieve them’.

This inspiring young man has given us a wonderful example of the phrase ‘small change, big impact’. If you believe in it enough you will do it! If you would like to know more about the Martial Arts and Leadership Academy, Beverley, please contact info@martialartsandleaderhsip.co.uk.
