Kerouac: And All That Jazz

Kerouac And All That Jazz

Hip words and cool jazz celebrate the centenary of the birth of Angel Headed Hipster, Jack Kerouac..

An homage to the author of the classic novel, On The Road, featuring the words and music that reflect Jack Kerouac's inner life and world through the eyes of Neal Cassady, Carolyn Cassady, LuAnne Henderson, Allen Ginsberg, Memere (Kerouac's mother) and Kerouac himself.

The Beat Generation were frowned upon by the Establishment and ridiculed by their contemporaries, however they were the inspiration for the likes of Bob Dylan, Morrissey and The Beatles.

KEROUAC: And All That Jazz is written by Hull writer, Barrie Wheatley and was first commissioned for The Humber Mouth Festival.

It went on to the Edinburgh Fringe, where it won an award for sell out performances.

We are returning with the show to the Fringe in August and this is an opportunity for local audiences to preview it.
