Beverley Joint 6th held its leavers prom at South Cave yesterday.

The sixth form students, who are part of Beverley Grammar and Beverley High School’s sixth form, celebrated the end of two year’s hard work last night in an event which saw students gather in dresses and suits fit for a red carpet.

The Joint 6th is a collaboration between the two schools, established over 30 years ago. It sees students make the next step after their GCSEs and prepares them for life at university and beyond.

The prom marked the final event in which the sixth form’s Head Boy and Head Girl held their posts. Tristan Browning and Elena Douglass celebrated the night with friends after a ceremony the previous day had elected their successors.

Students will now enjoy a summer holiday before starting new ventures in September.
