Food Festival holding awards to find best dishes in the area

The Beverley Food Festival and East Yorkshire Local Food Network are holding a series of awards in which they will judge the best local dishes.

The awards cover nineteen categories, ranging from best breakfast food to best condiment and local food hero.

The awards close on 31 July, so entrants must act quickly to secure their place. To enter, entrants should choose the categories they wish to compete in, then follow the instructions provided on the EYLFN website.

Categories are as follows:

3.    Best Fish product (raw, cooked or smoked) – sponsored by Roach Bros

4.    Best Non-alcoholic drink – sponsored by Brown & Co LLP

5.    Best Alcoholic drink – sponsored by William’s Farm Kitchen

6.    Best Savoury Baked Product (pies, pork pies, sausage rolls) – sponsored by Ulrick & Short

8.    Best Condiment (oil/dressing/sauce/spice mix) – sponsored by AAK

9.    Best Bread or Morning Good (bread, croissant, breakfast cereals, muesli) – sponsored by Riva Foods
