There will be a chance to hear about the birds living in local woods, meadows and gardens at a talk by ornithologist Richard Baines next Monday (29 October).

Anlaby Park Community Library, located on The Greenway, Anlaby High Road,  will host the event at 7.30pm on Monday.

During the spring, Richard carried out a survey to find out how many birds are nesting in the Humber Bridge Country Park. As the previous survey had been conducted 15 years earlier, he wanted to know if anything had changed, and where are the best places for birds to thrive.

Richard Baines is a conservationist and a great storyteller. Once a ranger at the Country Park, he now concentrates on ecological surveys and leading wildlife tours.

This illustrated talk, supported by the Friends of the Humber Bridge Country Park, is a free event (donations welcome) with refreshments, and will be suitable for people of all ages who love wildlife.
