Experience Brick Journeys At Beverley Art Gallery This Summer

After the huge success of last summer’s ‘Brick City’ exhibition at Beverley Art Gallery, LEGO® will return to the Treasure House this month with ‘Brick Journeys’.

The ‘Brick Journeys’ exhibition, created once again by Warren Elsmore, will be on display in Beverley Art Gallery from Saturday, 15 July until Saturday, 26 August, with free admission, and no need to book in advance.

The exhibition celebrates different modes of transport with unique models, all built from LEGO® bricks. Visitors will see how humans have progressed, from the first hot air balloon to today’s rockets, and will take flight with a brick-built airport and wonder at the engineering of the Forth Road Bridge.

Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure, and tourism, said: “Our blockbuster exhibitions for the past few years have been hugely popular, and it’s great news that Warren Elsmore could come back again this year! ‘Brick Journeys’ promises to be a fun experience for all the family, as parents and grandparents will want to come with children and grandchildren, and I look forward to a very busy summer at Beverley Art Gallery!”

Hannah Willetts, Beverley Art Gallery curator, added: “We are very excited to welcome Warren Elsmore and his team back to Beverley Art Gallery, ready for another year of amazing LEGO® structures. It’s the perfect trip out for families this summer, and brilliant inspiration for LEGO®-loving adults too!”

On the exhibition Launch Day (Saturday, 15 July), there will be an opportunity to visit the Treasure House for outer space entertainment and LEGO ®Brick fun. Visitors will be able to try their hand at building out of this world LEGO ® creations and attempt the UFO speed build challenge, from 12noon-3pm, free of charge.
