Enjoy a Wolds Walk this Spring

The Yorkshire Wolds Way Partnership have organised three walks this Spring, giving a chance to enjoy the Yorkshire Wolds Way in the East Riding.

Enjoy Spring in the Yorkshire Wolds on one of these three walks :

‘Discover the Art of the Yorkshire Wolds’ : Huggate to Thixendale on the Yorkshire Wolds Way (6.5 miles) : Tuesday 4 April :Enjoy the walk, and see the ‘Wander’ artworks inspired by the Yorkshire Wolds.Be the first to try the ‘Secret Art’ project, discovering virtual art and poetry along the way. Late lunch in Thixendale.Meet at Thixendale at 10am to catch the minibus to Huggate to start the walk. The walk will be led by National Trail Officer Malcolm Hodgson. No dogs. ‘Follow in the footsteps of the Rebels on the Pilgrimage of Grace’ : (8.5 miles) : Wednesday 26 April : A chance to walk with a local historian, inspired by the Pilgrimage of Grace, from the time of Henry VIII. Stop for a vegetarian lunch at the World Peace Café at the Meditation Centre near Pocklington. The walk will be led by National Trail Officer Malcolm Hodgson. No dogs. Meet at Pocklington bus station at 10.10 to catch the bus to Warter. Bring money for the bus and lunch. ‘Walk the Welton Wander and finish at Dick Turpin’s Downfall’ (4 miles): Wednesday 9 May : a short circular woodland walk from Welton village. Pub lunch in Welton. Meet at 10.30 outside the Green Dragon pub. The walk will be led by National Trail Officer Malcolm Hodgson. Dogs welcome on a short lead. Bring money for lunch.
