Easter Trail & Treats on the Farm

At - Side Oven Bakery, Carr House Farm,  Foston on the Wolds

Time to enjoy a family day out on a beautiful farm at Easter! 

Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds near Driffield, Carr House Farm is the home of the Side Oven Bakery, and the farm is where the Sellers family have lived and worked for 5 generations. 

A wide range of cereals are grown on the Organic farm which following harvest are taken to the mill house where they are milled into flour using a traditional stone ground mill.

The bakery makes a wide range of award winning organic products including breakfast cereals, breadmixes, fruit loaves, oatcakes and much more. 

The family also farms organic soft fruit orchards including apple, blackcurrant and elderflower. These are used to produce our award winning range of Apple Juice and Fruit Cordials which are all handpicked and pressed/infused on the farm in our juicery. 

On Good Friday 29th March the farm and bakery doors will be open to the public. Open 10am till 3pm (last admission to the Easter Trail will be 2pm).

The team at the Side Oven Bakery are delighted to open their doors for their very special Easter trail round the beautiful organic farm based at the foot of the East Yorkshire Wolds.

The Easter Trail will be run in partnership with North Frodingham PTFA and all proceeds from the trail will go towards providing funds for North Frodingham Primary School. The trail will be suitable for those aged 10 and under, it is approximately 500 meters and there will be pushchair access for part of the trail. Please bring suitable footwear for farm tracks!

There will also be face painting, tuck shop, tombola and a raffle. 

The Open Day is free of charge but the Easter Trail is a ticketed event. Tickets bought in advance are discounted to £3, bought on the day they are £4 per child. Adults do not need a ticket .Tickets include a trail map and a chocolate egg prize for completing the trail! To book please email: northfrodptfa@gmail.com

Pick Your Own Organic Rhubarb 

You will be able to Pick Your Own Organic Rhubarb available down in the soft fruit orchard at the farm. Go to the bakery on the day for details.

Bakery 

The bakery will be open 10am till 3pm for Breads, Croissant, Cakes, Hot Cross Buns and many more Easter Treats. The Bakery team will also be serving freshly baked refreshments, teas/coffees and cold drinks all day. 

Dogs on leads are welcome and there is plenty of parking available.
