East Riding College Musicians Make St Stephens Alive After Five

Alive After Five at St Stephen’s Shopping Centre will feature some of the brightest young music talent in the area over the Summer in the East Riding College Music Academy Takeover.

From June 30 to August 4, seven acts will take to the stage to perform a mix of original songs and covers to shoppers, cinema-goers and diners.

Martin Jones, music lecturer at the College, said: “This is a real treat for people visiting St Stephen’s on a Thursday night.

“We have some truly exceptional performers across a wide variety of genres at the Academy and we’re very pleased to be taking over Alive After Five over the coming six weeks.”

Jim Harris, centre manager at St Stephen’s said “ We are pleased to welcome East Riding College students to perform live music and enhance our shopping and leisure experience. We want to encourage the evening economy and see this partnership as a great way to help promote the centre and provide a unique platform for acoustic performers to showcase their talents.”

The performers can be found in the Chillout Zone on the first floor from 5.30pm on Thursdays as follows:

June 30 – Late Night Marauders
July 7 – Michael Bacon, Two Amigos and Lawrence
July 14 – Jack Parker
July 21 – Stympy Myth
July 28 – HND group acoustic
August 4 – Jack Parker, Late Night Marauders, Michael Bacon
