Double the Fun for Everyone

Thu 24th July 2014

Children and adults of all ages are encouraged to have 'double the fun' at two free community events in Beverley.

Between 11am and 1pm on Monday 28 July, East Riding Safeguarding Children Board, along with a number of other organisations and voluntary groups, will be providing activities for children while parents and carers can access information about local services and support.

Some of the other organisations include East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s youth and family support service, carers support service, East Riding Safeguarding Adult Board, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Humberside Police, as well as East Riding Voluntary Action Service (ERVAS), MIND and the British Heart Foundation.

Attractions will include a bouncy castle, prize bingo, an assault course, face painting and soft play activities.

Just around the corner from the Beverley Children’s Centre, on the Queen Elizabeth II playing fields (Mudhills), on Burden Road, people are encouraged to come and Have a Field Day.

The event is a great opportunity to get outdoors with friends and family and to get active with a range of activities including archery, pop-up tennis, kwik cricket, circus skills, as well as the chance to explore your creative side with an art and craft session.

The event will be held between 11am and 3pm but, in the case of bad weather, it may be cancelled.

The events are free and open to adults and children of any age although children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
