RWE - Dogger Bank South - Offshore Wind Farms

RWE Renewables UK (RWE) has published a statement of Community Consultation (SoCC) for the Dogger Bank South (DBS) offshore Wind Farm Projects, in accordance with Section 47 of the Planning Act 2008.

The purpose of the SoCC is to clearly explain how RWE intends to consult with local communities in the vicinity of the Projects. It sets out how information relating to the consultation can be viewed and how people are able to formally respond with their feedback. A copy of the SoCC can be viewed on the DBS website and hard copies are available upon request.

DBS is made up of two separate sites, DBS East and DBS West, each with a proposed installed capacity of up to 1.5GW. RWE Renewables UK is progressing the development phase of both projects and will shortly be publishing the Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR). The PEIR will incorporate the findings of surveys and initial assessments and will enable consultees to develop an informed view of the potential environmental, social and economic effects of the Projects. A copy of the PEIR cab=n be found on the DBS website.

The PEIR will be available to view throughout a Statutory Consultation period which will run from 6th June 2023 to 17th July 2023. The consultation is open to anyone who may be interested in, or feels impacted by, the project proposals.

A Non Technical Summary (NTS) of PEIR and Consultation Brochure have been developed to signpost people to the information required to respond to the consultation. The NTS and Consultation Brochure will be available to view on the Project website and hard copies will be available at Consultation Events and on request.
