The Sewerby Squirrels sessions during the yuletide period will take place at the Orangery at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.

The sessions – held for under 5s and their grown-ups on Mondays during term time (from 10-11.30am) – are based on seasonal events, Edwardian life and Sewerby Hall exhibits. They all include books to read, a sensory area and a quiet corner – plus themed activities.

On Monday, 2 December there will be a garden-themed craft session, with the chance to make a crafty nature collage.

The activity for Monday, 9 December will be History Explorers, where participants can enjoy digging up the past, play with Edwardian toys and make a cave painting.

A Christmas Story comes to the Orangery on Monday, 16 December; listen to the story, decorate the Christmas tree and make an angel to take home.

Each session is £2 per child (aged three years and older, including one adult) however under 3s go free. Annual pass holders for Sewerby Hall and Gardens can attend for free. Admission counters (including counters required for under 3s) are available from the Welcome Centre on the day, and payment can be taken on collection where applicable.
