Coletta and Tyson reach a million

Tue 5th August 2014

Coletta & Tyson is celebrating after welcoming its one millionth customer since the turn of the year.

Based in Woodmansey, the garden centre is enjoying one of its busiest years to date following the opening of its 4pets store and the re-launch of its refurbished Oasis Café.

Staff at the centre have been keeping a close eye on visitor numbers as they crept towards the one million mark.

That magic number was attained when Jessica Regan passed through the checkout.

John Tyson, of Coletta & Tyson, said: “We are delighted to have reached another major milestone for the garden centre. Attracting a million customers in just seven months is a fantastic achievement and shows the changes we have made at the centre are paying off.

“Reaching the milestone is a fantastic reminder to us of what we have achieved as a business and our leadership position in the marketplace.

“Throughout the Spring and Summer we see visitor numbers grow but this year we have seen a sharp rise, not just in visitors passing through the centre’s checkouts but also enjoying the café.”

“We have worked hard in the last year to turn the centre into a real destination to attract a range of visitors. We are seeing more families come here, more young people, and we are being extremely proactive in engaging with local community groups, schools and other organisations to invite them down to experience Coletta & Tyson.

“Our garden centre is synonymous with quality and affordability, and that needs to filter right down to the customers, who ultimately will dictate our success. We are now looking forward to welcoming the two millionth customer.”
