Chris and Rosa Hogg Woodmansey complete daring skydive in memory of their sister, and raise £5000 for Hull and East Yorkshire Mind.

Daring duo Chris and Rosa Hogg-Woodmansey put their bravery to the test when they took part in a thrilling skydive, jumping from nearly 10,000ft above the Yorkshire coastline. The pair raised a huge £5000 for their local mental health charity, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind.

Chris and Rosa are passionate about raising awareness of mental health and completed the sky dive to not only raise vital funds for the charity, but to help to address the stigma surrounding mental health. They took on the challenge to honour the memory of their older sister and said, ‘We are very keen that mental health issues are talked about more openly.’

Chris said, ‘‘I would definitely do another skydive. We are very keen that mental health issues are talked about more openly.’

Rosa was equally positive about the experience, and wanted to thank everyone for their support: ‘after thoroughly enjoying my skydive, I would undoubtedly do it again. Without the generosity and massive amount of support, it would have been so difficult. Thank you all again for the donations.’

Katie McCreaddie, Community Fundraiser at Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, said “I would like to thank Chris and Rosa for completing this amazing challenge and for fundraising for Hull and East Yorkshire Mind. We support 5000 people each year with their mental health- all in this local area- but we can only do this with the help of Chris and Rosa, and others like them, who help us to raise the money we need.”
