Children's Trail at Treasure House

Wed 3rd September 2014
Treasure House Tower Jpg 1

The summer holidays may have come to an end but there is still time for youngsters to enjoy a fun-filled interactive visit to the Treasure House.

The Children’s Trail features a range of fun, hands-on activities including making a puzzle, trying on costumes, singing a song and creating a drawing.

The trail takes visitors around the Treasure House, including the museum, art gallery and library, encouraging youngsters to look more closely at the current exhibitions and displays.

Many of the activities have a First World War theme and are inspired by the poppy, a symbol of Remembrance. Everyone that completes the trail will receive a certificate and can enter a prize draw.

The trail will be running until Saturday 6 September. Just drop in any time during normal opening hours and ask for a copy of the Children’s Trail from the first floor reception desk at the Treasure House.

The trail is free and suitable for families with children aged 4 upwards, with support where necessary. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call 01482 392780.

During your visit you can also take part in the Poppy Challenge 2014 and make a commemorative poppy which will be displayed as part of a series of Remembrance art works across the region.
