Change to spin programme

Fri 28th November 2014

All spin classes at Beverley Leisure Compex have now moved to the pavilion building, which is across the entrance road from the main building. This is to allow contractors building the new Tone Zone fitness suite at the complex to start to integrate the extension into the building.

The move into the pavilion building is a temporary measure until the new Tone Zone opens in April 2015, when spin classes will take place in a new, purpose-built facility.

Class numbers have been slightly reduced to 16 bikes, but instructors will be putting on 14 extra classes a week to accommodate customers.

An East Riding of Yorkshire Council spokesperson said:”We would like to thank our spinning class customers for their patience and understanding during this period and apologise for any inconvenience this temporary relocation may cause.”

The £1.2m scheme of major improvements at Beverley Leisure Complex started in August and will see the state of the art Tone Zone health and fitness facility double in size – with around 90 stations – and will offer a wide range of high-tech resistance and cardiovascular equipment, as well as a purpose-built spin room.

The new facility, aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of users, will be at the rear of the complex, and the existing gym will be converted into a dance studio. The project is expected to take around eight months to complete.
