Celebrate your pooch with Jerry Green Dog Rescue this #InternationalDayOfFriendship!

Through the hard times and the good, our dogs are our greatest friends. They provide us with enough love, comfort and friendship to last a lifetime. So to celebrate and thank them for being the companions we couldn’t be without, Jerry Green Dog Rescue would like you to get involved in their #JGDRFriendshipMonth.

While dogs provide us with this happiness and unconditional love, for some people they do so much more. Some dogs provide their owners with additional care and perform lifesaving roles. In whichever way our dogs help us, emotionally or physically – they’re our devoted best friends who we couldn’t be without.

Shelley Wilks, Deputy Chief Executive for the charity, said: “For most people, our dogs are our best pals and simply give us so much happiness and love, but for some they also do so much more. From emotional support dogs to dogs who help fight crime, these are just some of the outstanding ways our pooches change the way we live our lives and function as a society.

“On the 30th of this month, it is #InternationalDayOfFriendship, so throughout the month leading up to the big day we’re going to be celebrating and thanking our furry best friends across our social media channels and through our blog for everything they do”.

Shelley continued: “We’re lucky as we get to see unbreakable bonds and new friendships forming with our dogs and their adopters through their Meet&Match® visits and through the adoption aftercare we provide. It really is a beautiful thing to see and we can’t wait to share with you our dogs adoption stories, along with tips and advice on dog adoption and much, much more throughout the month.
