Beverley Fairtrade Group has successfully reapplied for the town’s Fairtrade status. Fairtrade status is conferred by the Fairtrade Foundation every 2 years and to have been awarded this accolade for the 10th year is something to celebrate! Events being organised for next year will feature and build on this achievement.

As Christmas approaches, please consider making purchases which have the Fairtrade logo on them or are available through fairly-traded merchants, such as Traidcraft. There is a small shop in Toll Gavel United Church, which is open every morning for tea, coffee and light refreshments where you can see some of the products, food and drink items and Traidcraft catalogues are available.

Fairtrade status depends on the support of retailers and the public and new volunteers to publicise the benefits of Fairtrade is so important. If you are interested in joining the group, please get in touch with John Turner on 01482 867573.
