Beverley Set to Light Up!

Fri 27th November 2015
Xmas Lights Png

Sunday 29th November is the day when Beverley is set to light up, courtesy of the Beverley Christmas Lights Committee in association with The Beverley and District Chamber of Trade.

This FREE event promises fun for all the family as Father Christmas and CBBC's (and Beverley's)  Ben Shires play prominent roles in the festivities.

The fun starts at 12noon when the Beverley FM stage begins its afternoon of music, with live bands and performers, the food and charity stalls open and the fun fair starts up! And, of course, Father Christmas arrives!

The first tree to be lit, by Beverley's Mayor, Peter Astell and Ben Shires, is at Flemingate, followed by the Christmas Trees in Wednesday Market, Toll Gavel and Market Cross at various points through-out the afternoon. And there will be carol singing at the Market Cross with a short service.

Ben Shires will be awarding prizes, signing autographs and chatting with the crowds.

The event ends with a Take That tribute band performing on-stage. It will be a great afternoon!
