Beverley Remembers

Mon 13th November 2017
Remembrance Sunday Mob 41

Yesterday, Beverley remembered those who have made the ultimate sacrifice or have been injured whilst on active service protecting our freedom from oppression.

Churches in Beverley and its surrounding villages paid tribute with moving acts of remembrance, wreath-laying and marching bands.

Beverley can be particularly proud of the Church Lads and Girls Brigade who led a parade which included representatives from the Defence School of Transport, British Legion representatives and ex-servicemen, members of the Baden Powell uniformed organisations and civic dignitaries.

Rev. Becky Lumley presided over a short service at the Memorial Gardens in Hengate where the Beverley Town Band played.
