Beverley Fitmums welcomes 100th member

Thu 30th April 2015

The Beverley branch of Fitmums, a fitness group for parents, has welcomed its 100th member.

Penny Hunter signed up to the group to benefit from the informal atmosphere at the group’s meetings. She was presented with a certificate by Fitmums founder Sam Barlow.

The group meets on Tuesdays at Beverley Leisure Centre and Thursdays at Longcroft School, where members can receive a coaching technique to ensure they feel supported.

Beverley Fitmums is supported by East Riding Council’s public health service, while the founder recently won an award for excellence from the Department of Health. The project has around 500 members across East Riding and is continually growing in size.
