Beverley 10k Delivers Two Course Records

On Sunday 14th May following the Beverley Fun Run, the countdown began for the start of the 2023 Beverley 10k.

Thousands of people stood in the start area, nerves twitching, heart pumping, crowds waiting and for the starting marshal to start the race.

The conditions were perfect, a cool Sunday morning, streets full of spectators to cheer the runners on.

Arriving back in Saturday market and clear of the field, the crowds cheered on Jordan Kelly from Lincoln Wellington Athletic Club, to cheer him to the finish, down Toll Gavel and into Wednesday Market, to break the course record. The official time announced as 30 minutes 12 seconds. "A New Course Record".

Not too far behind was Della Hatfield, City of Hull AC, knowing how well she was running, the noise, cheers got louder, Della came over the finishing line in 34 minutes 24 seconds breaking the ladies course record. Again it was announced "A New Course Record".

The 2023 Beverley 10k will be remembered for the course records, the fantastic organisation, supporting crowds the achievements of every single competitor, whether that was a PB or simply finishing the event.

Congratulations to everyone, running, organising or supporting.
