Acklams Coaches will be unveiling its newest vehicle at its open day at Beverley Racecourse on 10 November.

The holiday firm has invested more than £1million in its fleet, with the latest coach costing £300,000.

The Beverley company began as a taxi business more than 60 years ago, but has grown and grown to become the region's largest independent holiday operator, as well as running hire services throughout East Yorkshire.

As well as the new coach, the open day will also see the launch of the company's latest brochure and provides the opportunity for their customers to talk directly to Acklams staff. This helps Acklams to shape their offerings for the coming year, particularly the holiday destinations, which are proving to be extremely popular.

More than 3,000 holiday makers are expected to travel to over 50 European destinations with Acklams this year.

To continue to provide such excellent service, Acklams knows that investment in its vehicles is key. They intend to expand their fleet even further in the next few months, with six new vehicles, including three low-floor access double deckers, a luxury 16-seat minibus and two elite coaches.

Acklams' fleet travels more than one million miles a year on school, sport and private hire work.
